The 2019 EuBIC Winter School on proteomics bioinformatics sponsored by the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) will bring together scientists in the field of proteomics and bioinformatics for proteomics. It is organized by the European Bioinformatics Community (EuBIC), an initiative of the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) for user-oriented bioinformatics.

Venue:   Hotel Mercure Kasprowy / Zakopane / Poland

Date:     January 15th-18th, 2019

The winter school is dedicated to

  • anyone interested in MS-based proteomics
  • users of proteomics tools
  • bioinformaticians in the field of proteomics

  • proteomics and MS related companies

  • people interested in computational proteomics

The registration is closed.

The winter school will start with an educational day dedicated to workshops and trainings in established proteomics tools and workflows. The following days, internationally renowned invited speakers will give lectures and practical workshops covering the aspects of identification, quantification, result interpretation, and integration of MS proteomics data. This year’s special focus is the Challenges in Quantification and DIA.

Invited speakers:

  • Sven Degroeve - Center for Medical Biotechnology, University of Ghent

  • Martin Eisenacher - Medizinisches Proteom-Center, Ruhr-Universität Bochum

  • Lars Juhl Jensen - Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen

  • Kathryn Lilley - Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge

  • Florian Meier - Proteomics and Signal Transduction, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry

  • Yasset Perez-Riverol - Proteomics Services Team, PRIDE Group European Bioinformatics Institute

  • Evangelia Petsalaki - EMBL-EBI, Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton

  • Hannes Röst - Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto

  • Brian Searle - Institute for Systems Biology, Seattle

  • Stefan Tenzer - University Medical Centre, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

  • Mathias Wilhelm - Proteomics and Bioanalytics, Technical University of Munich

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to present their scientific work in poster sessions and selected flash talks in an open, constructive, and productive atmosphere.

The EuBIC Winter School will consist of
•    Keynote talks of invited speakers
•    Poster presentations
•    Flash talks
